Your Youngstown Symphony Orchestra Presents Back To The Future With Guest Conductor

YOUNGSTOWN, OH (October 23, 2024): The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra (YSO) presentation of the 1985 film Back to the Future on November 2 and 3, 2024 will be under the direction of a guest conductor. Music Director Sergey Bogza continues to be unable to be in Youngstown due to personal matters. In Maestro Bogza’s absence, the Orchestra will welcome veteran film-with-live-orchestra conductor, Erik Ochsner.

Back to the Future will be Ochsner’s sixth time conducting the YSO. Ochsner has been on the podium with the YSO for the films: Ghostbusters in 2022 and Home Alone in 2023. He has also conducted the YSO in March 2023, March 2024, and April 2024.

Ochsner is considered by audiences and critics alike to be one of the leading film-with-live-orchestra conductors due to his energy, attention to detail and precise synchronization. Ochsner conducted the world premiere of Mary Poppins in Concert at the Sydney Opera House; was the Principal Touring Conductor of La La Land Live in Concert, and has conducted many of the best film scores including: E.T., Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars and many others.

Fox), Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) and a time traveling DeLorean for the adventure of a lifetime as they travel to the past, present and future, setting off a time-shattering chain reaction that disrupts the space-time continuum! Now, fans old and new will experience the thrill of Back to the Future like never before – with a full symphony orchestra performing Alan Silvestri’s dazzling musical score live in sync with the movie.
