“Fore! The Arts” Golf Classic Returns to Benefit Local Performing Arts Organizations

The “Fore! The Arts” Golf Classic returns for the second year to benefit the area’s premier performing arts organizations. The event, which will be held at Youngtown Country Club on Friday, July 29, begins at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast, includes a day of golf, and will be followed by a cocktail reception with lunch buffet and presentation of prizes.  Proceeds from the event will help to support programming for the upcoming season and educational and outreach activities.

This year’s event has been expanded to benefit Stambaugh Auditorium, The Youngstown Symphony Society, The Youngstown Playhouse, and Opera Western Reserve.  The event is presented jointly by the Boards of Directors of these four premier performing arts organizations.  The joint golf outing is an extension of the partnership that we have formed to share services, reduce costs, expand programming, and preserve the area’s magnificent, historic performing arts venues.

“Last year’s event was a tremendous success and we expect a sell-out this year as we will be limiting the field to 30 teams.” Scott Schulick, event co-chair, said.

Jim Dascenzo, event co-chair, added, “Each level of sponsorship comes with unique benefits including various recognition opportunities at the golf event as well as tickets, advertising, and recognition throughout the upcoming season. ”

Sponsorship opportunities include unique benefits including various recognition opportunities at the event as well as tickets, advertising, and promotional opportunities throughout the upcoming season.  Plus, sponsors will be publicly showing their support for non-profit performing arts organizations in the Mahoning Valley.  Visit any of our organizational websites below for more information or contact JoAnn Stock, Chief Development Officer at 330-747-5175 or jstock@stambaughauditorium.com

In addition to event co-chairs, Jim Dascenzo and Scott Schulick, the event committee consists of Terry Cloonan, Dr. John Cox, Paul Homick, Dr. Joe Malys,  John Moliterno, the Very Rev. Msgr. Robert Siffrin, Charles Simon, John Yerian III and Scott Zoldan.
